· The Nada Kreatif Pro team

In institutions, ideas rarely fail for want of creativity. More often they get worn down along the way, one approval at a time.

Oktober Kreasi, Hero Campaign, Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif

Almost every ministry and state-owned programme we work on goes through layers of approval. One concept might be read by the technical team, then comms, then the head of the unit, then the very top. At every desk, the idea is explained again by someone new.

So we design ideas that can be explained without us in the room.

One system, not lots of pieces

For Oktober Kreasi, the Ministry of Creative Economy needed one campaign to cover 17 subsectors. The choice was simple enough: a different look for each subsector, or one modular visual system.

We went with the second. A wide spectrum is easier to communicate through one consistent system. It ran across public space, from MRT stations and Bundaran HI to Simpang Lima in Semarang, without losing its premium feel.

A system is also easier to sign off. Stakeholders only need to understand one rule, then watch it work across 17 variations.

An insight you can say in one sentence

Every case study we write has a HOW WE GOT THERE block: one insight about the audience that sits behind the creative decision. We keep it short on purpose, along the lines of “[audience] responds faster when [approach]”.

Sentences like that are easy to repeat in a client’s internal meetings. When the boss asks “why this?”, the comms team has the same answer we do.

Numbers as a shared language

Adjectives mean different things at different desks. Numbers don’t. That is why we close every project with results you can check: transactions, sales, reach, or the number of assets ready to use. We agree the measures at the start, so nobody gets a surprise in the final report.

A strong message isn’t the loudest one. It’s the one that is still in one piece after being retold five times.

Got a programme coming up?let’s make it great.
